Realistic little infant arm with embedded circular bloodline for IV training. This Pediatric IV training arm is great for training to take blood, insert IVs, give injections, or for vaccination purposes. Realistic infant arm with embedded silicone blood vessels. This model has 2 embedded veins for IV cannulation training. The arm is made with super-soft durable silicone. The veins are partly visible and can be palpated.

How to use the Paediatric IV training arm:
- Use red tinted water and fill the 30ml syringe
- Connect the syringes to the leur locks
- Fill the vessel tube with the blood until the 10ml syringe is full.
- Add light pressure to both syringes, pushing a little more firmly on the 10 ml syringe.
- This will provide the flashback for the user. - once flashback is achieved, you no longer need to provide pressure, unless simulating phlebotomy.
- Use 22 gauge cannulas or smaller, ensuring longevity of the arm.
- After use the tubes can be turned or moved through the model.
- To replace the tube, disconnect the luer lock connectors from the tubing and pull the tubing out.
- Lightly lubricate the outside of your replacement tubing with petroleum jelly and insert.
- Once the tip has appeared at the palm, pass the tube into the empty hole and push until the end of the tubing appears out at the elbow. Pull to desired length.
- Reattach your luer lock connectors.
This Paediatric training arm can also be used to take blood.
This model can achieve back flow when cannulating so long as pressure is maintained on the syringes.
Pressure may cause leaks in previous puncture sites inside the model and cause the model to leak from the tube insertion sites at the palm and at the elbow.
After some use areas of the model may become perforated.
These surface perforations at needle sites can be repaired with the repair silicone provided with this model.
Care instructions:
- The silicone can be washed with warm soapy water and disinfected with Iso Alcohol.
- Dry thoroughly with a soft towel or hairdryer.
- You can use talc powder to matify shiny areas or remove stickiness.
- Store this product clean and dry in a dark and cool environment.
- After a lot of use an area may become perforated and start leaking. This can be repaired
- with some silicone from a repair kit. (free with 5 arms or more) FX Silicone repair kits.
Warranty:
MEDICFX warrants that the products supplied will be of good quality and reasonably fit for the purpose(s) mentioned in the descriptions. All products that are faulty or damaged need to be notified, with a photo of the damage, within a week after receiving the products. If the damage or fault is due to fabrication, the faulty product can be returned and repaired, replaced, or refunded.
MEDICFX offers a 6-month warranty on the silicone parts of your model. With normal, gentle use no rips or tears should occur. There is no warranty on hair-work.
