Practi-Insulin Variety Pack™ (for training)
Wallcur’s Practi-Insulin Variety Pack™, for clinical training, simulates four of the most commonly ordered insulin medications. Teach insulin injection techniques, mixing and combining of short and long acting insulin, and dosage calculation skills with this comprehensive teaching aid.
Each pack contains ten vials of each of the following: Practi-Insulin™ NPH, Practi-Insulin™ Regular, Practi-Insulin™ 70/30, and Practi-Insulin™ Glargine.
Every Practi-Insulin™ vial is designed and labeled to accurately simulate those found in clinical use today. The Practi-NPH and Practi-70/30 vials contain an additive that closely mimics the real medication as it must be rotated, mixed, and withdrawn before it precipitates out.
Teach the Following Skills:
- Identification and understanding of FOUR of the most commonly ordered insulin medications
- Reading and interpreting specific insulin labels (many different insulin labels look alike)
- Calculating insulin dosages
